Magnetize helped this 125+ year old organization reposition with a new name and brand that would honor its legacy while supporting its strategic direction for the future. Inspired by the promise to “work together to be a healing hub for our community”, The Core Collective is more than a place — it’s a new way of thinking.


More than a place

Magnetize created a new name and logo inspired by the direction of the organization — which continues to evolve beyond its heritage as a home for children. The Core Collective name represents the organization’s hub strategy and the idea that it’s more than just a place, but a group of like-minded people and community partners. This brand direction brings the mission beyond the walls of the physical location, positioning them for future growth and impact out in communities. The icon was formed by two overlapping “C” letterforms. The bold design and color scheme reflect the passion behind their work and the confidence in their mission.


Launch event

We provided design, coordination, messaging and production support for a brand launch event. This included signage, invites, PowerPoint templates and more.

The new logo was positioned on event items to pay off key messages that provide context for the name and brand change, and supported strategic imperatives presented at the event.

We helped provide clarity around the work and vision of The Core Collective at St. Vincent alongside clear and actionable next steps for audiences. We created a website that was now a programmatic tool, as well as a hub for education and inspiration.

An audience-led approach

Three audiences, each with very distinct needs

When we started working on The Core Collective’s website, there was a resounding call for help across the agency’s many departments: A call to help users find their way… without having to call staff and have them walk them through how to find the content they needed over the phone.

Youth served, donors and partners were three audiences that we most regularly navigating their site and those that often needed support on what to do next. It was clear that a new website brought with it the opportunity to not only provide three distinct user journeys, but also help streamline some organizational processes for many departments, providing users with clear and actionable next steps that they could take in the digital realm, without even making a phone call.

Tangible results

Within just over two months since the launch of the new site, over 50% of users have found their way programs pages, meaning that youth being served by the organization are finding essential services right when they need it.

Because we knew the site was often being accessed by youth in times of crisis or transition, we knew it was critical that the site be designed mobile first. Since it’s launch, 1/3 of site users are navigating is via a mobile device, supporting our mobile first design.

The Core Collective at Saint Vincent is on a mission to improve healthcare for families, advance socioeconomic equity and activate conscious leaders. Magnetize created a rebrand and website that allowed The Core Collective to reach their audience and community.
